Artwork Guidelines

Upload the best artwork file you have. PrintNorth reviews it after payment and sends a digital proof for written approval before anything prints.

Upload Your Best Available File

Your file does not need to be production-ready. Upload the sharpest logo, image, or layout available. Vector files are preferred for logos, but a high-resolution PDF, PNG, or JPG is acceptable when that is the best version you have.

After payment, PrintNorth reviews the file and emails a digital proof within one business day. If the file cannot produce a usable result, we will contact you instead of starting production.

What The Proof Checks

Proofing checks print fit, cropping, placement, and obvious file-quality concerns. Reply APPROVED to authorize production, or reply with requested changes. The listed production estimate starts only after final written approval.

Proofing is not copy editing or legal review. You remain responsible for spelling, dates, phone numbers, URLs, trademarks, permissions, legal copy, and regulated information.

Logos, Text, And Small Details

  • Use the sharpest logo file available, ideally a vector file or high-resolution export.
  • Keep text short enough for the product size. Tiny legal copy, long menus, dense schedules, and full addresses may not print clearly on small items.
  • Check spelling, phone numbers, QR codes, URLs, dates, and event names before upload.
  • Leave enough contrast between text and background so the final item is readable.

Simple Marks And High Contrast

Small-format branded print usually works best with simple marks, clear line art, restrained typography, and strong contrast. Avoid photos, gradients, distressed textures, complex shadows, and very fine details when the imprint area is limited.

Photo Products

Photo-upload napkins need a sharp, well-lit image. Avoid screenshots, heavily compressed social-media images, dark photos, blurry photos, and images where important faces or details sit too close to the edge.

Regulated Or Required Copy

Businesses are responsible for required label text, legal disclaimers, ingredient information, health or alcohol-related requirements, and any other regulated copy that applies to their own products or events. PrintNorth can print supplied artwork, but the customer is responsible for confirming that required content is complete and accurate.

Before You Order

If your order has a firm deadline, unusual colour requirement, regulated packaging copy, or coordinated multi-product rollout, send the product, quantity, city, deadline, and file details to orders@printnorth.ca before ordering.
